When I first decided to start posting videos on the internet, I wasn't fully sure what I wanted to do....and at times I'm still not sure! I only knew that I wanted to do something that was fun, inspirational, and informative at the same time.
When I first thought about it, I was so afraid. It wasn't like I had a following or that people even knew who I was. Mainly, I felt that no one would be interested in anything I had to say. Besides, the only thing I had was a name that I had prayed and asked God to give me, for the show. It was about two weeks later that the name came to me "When We Speak". The Lord then took me to the verse in Proverbs that says "Death and LIFE are in the power of the tongue" and at that moment I knew that was my motto.
Since then, I slowly started getting a few views, then I started to see a few friend requests and subscriber requests. I can still remember how I felt when I saw that I got my very first subscriber! Now, I've attended events where people have come up to me and said that they've seen my videos and even asked to take a picture with me.
One day, I was in a furniture store near my house and a group of guys walked by me and I heard one of them say..."That's the guy from Youtube"...of course I tried to pretend that I didn't hear him but as I made my way through the store, he came back around and spoke to me and I could tell that he was just as nervous as I was!
Indeed, I am not nearly as popular as some of my favorite Youtubers such as B. Scott, The Scorpion Show, or Alexyss Tylor but I thank God from the bottom of my heart for where he's allowed me to be and the journey that He's taking me on. I believe that in time, the views will come and that the recognition will come......Let's be real, everyone knows that I love being in front so I had to do something to get out front!
If you know me, you know that I want to have my own television show....not like Oprah....although I love me some Oprah. She is such an inspiration but I think more like Ellen or Tyra. Ellen, because she's funny and you never know what she's going to do next. Tyra, because she's not only beautiful (LIKE ME!) but she wants to encourage others to see their beauty inside and out. Both of these ladies I can definitely relate to.......I could tell you more in detail but I won't!
I guess in closing, I wanted to type this blog as an encouragement to say "never stop believing in yourself and never give up on your dreams." As Pastor William Murphy's song says, "It's never too late to be what you should have been....DREAM!"
May the Lord continue to elevate you in every thing you do! I stand in agreement with you that every dream you have, will come to pass. Please stand with me as I continue to dream....Never give up on your dreams.....I can't stress that enough!

And pray that I get more interviews.....and more money so I can travel to do the interviews.....and that I get more views on the internet...and that someone will call me for an interviewing job on a television network....and that I will always be in good health so that I can dedicate 25 years to it like Oprah did....and that......Just kidding.....Well, I do want all those things! So I guess I'm not kidding! Be Blessed!
